Set within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Maritime Greenwich, the National Maritime Museum is an ensemble of important historic buildings of which the Royal Observatory forms part. This project establishes a new centre for modern astronomy and a planetarium at the Observatory and integrates an exhibition space, an education centre, a library and archive, a new planetarium as well as visitor amenities including a cafe and shop into their Grade II* listed South Building and a new build extension.
