Kelso Cochrane House

View all projects

New affordable homes, a community centre and a shop combine to form an L shaped building that tucks around a courtyard garden, screening it from busy Kensal Road. Echoing the pitched roofs, material palette, and detailing of Our Lady of the Holy Souls, the Grade ll listed Victorian church on one side of the site, the new building employs dormers and balconies to punctuate and enliven the facade and uses the roof space, set-backs and stepped building heights to create generous, varied apartment layouts.
