Imperial College South Kensington Masterplan

View all projects

Imperial College was founded at South Kensington in 1888 as part of Prince Albert's vision for a large-scale cultural and scientific quarter emerging from the success of the Great Exhibition. Over the last 125 years, the campus has seen successive waves of development. This masterplan sets out a long-term framework of discrete projects which enable future growth and change to come forward in a more coherent way, in ways that help to define and strengthen the public realm and in ways that improve the quality of the campus environment for all.
