AlUla Framework Plan

View all projects

AlUla is a large, mostly rural, region in northwest Saudi Arabia, containing remarkable heritage dating back more than 8,000 years including the Hegra UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest Nabatean settlement south of Petra. Adopting a phased approach out until 2035, this plan will guide its future development, establishing cross-cutting strategies for sustainability, green infrastructure, circular economy, raising the quality of life, resilience and technology. Adopting a light-touch approach to tourism, the plan will allow AlUla to develop into an international culture and arts destination as its unique natural and cultural landscape is safeguarded for generations to come.
