Eric Martin
Director, CambridgeEric leads projects across a broad cross-section of the practice’s work. These have included buildings and masterplanning projects such as the cluster of buildings for Ericsson in Coventry, and a framework masterplan for the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Latterly he has developed a specialism in flexible accommodation for innovation and science, both designing new buildings including Unit 440, and retrofit.
Born in Mexico City, Eric studied architecture at the Western Institute of Technology in Guadalajara, and ETSAM in Madrid, Spain. After graduating, he acted as a consultant on the renewal of Guadalajara’s historical central parks.
An accomplished designer and natural project leader, Eric worked as an Associate at Allies and Morrison before a period away from the studio developing his own projects as one half of award-winning practice Delvendahl Martin. He returned to the practice in 2019 and runs our Cambridge Studio with Max Kettenacker.
Eric has taught and lectured internationally including a 12-year placement as a Design Fellow at the Department of Architecture of the University of Cambridge. He is currently Director of Studies in Architecture and Bye-Fellow for Fitzwilliam College.
